Is plastic surgery right for me?

Plastic surgery is a personal individual decision.  It’s definitely an emotional choice.  Together we will evaluate your individual situation and arise at the best solutions.  We will take good care of you all along the way.

Am I too old for plastic surgery?

The average life expectancy today is over 70 years of age for both men and women.  We have patients of all ages (18 to patients over 70).  Many patients are thrilled with their results and wish they had done it earlier.

Will everyone know if I have plastic surgery?

Most people are aware Pamela Anderson had breast implants.  They may think because of this other people will know what they did.  Elective surgery can be as private as you want it to be.  There are ways to deflect attention, such as changing a hairstyle or wearing different makeup. 

Plastic surgery is too expensive…

Many years ago plastic surgery was thought to be only for the rich and famous.  Things have changed… 80% of our patients in some way finance their procedure.  For example:  Breast Enhancement is $5,000.00 and if a patient was to finance through Care Credit for 60 months at 14.9% their payments would be approximately $116.00.  That is less than most monthly cable bills.

How do I choose my implant size?

Most women have been in a Victoria Secret store.  They know being fitted for a bra takes time and so does choosing your breast implant size.  Choosing your implant size is a very individual process that takes time.  We will spend that time with you.

Can I breastfeed after breast enhancement?

Many women are aware breastfeeding is the best thing to do for your baby.  Studies have shown having breast implants doesn’t change your ability to breastfeed.  If you could breastfeed before, you will still be able to breastfeed after.

Do I need to replace breast implants every 10 years?

Breast implants have changed over the past 40 years.  The current recommendation is that if you're happy with your implants, leave them alone.

I’m concerned about Anesthesia?

Many people have concerns about anesthesia.  We often see anesthesia portrayed on TV and in movies.  Recently an Anesthetist stated that “modern anesthesia is safer than getting on the freeway”.

How much time do I need off work?

Most people include the weekend in their recovery planning.  For example, many patients who have breast enhancement surgery on a Monday can often return to work the following Monday.

How long do I need someone to help me after surgery?

Most people know with surgery there will be some downtime.  For breast procedures and liposuction it is good to have help for the first 48 hours.  A tummy tucks procedure you’ll need help from 5-7 days after surgery.  The help may consist of assisting/caring for patient, helping with children and household duties.

Will my surgery be a success?

Many people are fearful of surgery outcome and no one can guarantee surgery results.  Most of our patients are satisfied; in fact, the majority of our patients are referred from family and friends.

I don’t want my office to know; what do I tell my employer?

For many patients cosmetic surgery is a private matter.  You’re not obligated to tell your employer what type of surgery you’re having.

Will I get stretch marks after breast enhancement?

Many women get stretch marks from pregnancy.  Its rare patients get stretch marks from breast enhancement.

Will my implants “pop” or rupture when I’m intimate?

Most patients look forward to being intimate after surgery and wonder how long they need to wait.  In most situations, it’s alright after 3 weeks.

What will my scar look like?

Almost everyone has a scar from something in life.  Many people think that scarring is always a result of doctor’s techniques.  Surgery involves healing and scars.  Most people heal well and form normal scars.  Occasionally, someone may form an abnormal scar.
