About Mark E. Zilmer, M.D.
I am a native of Washington State. I joined the Avalon Clinic in 2004. With over 20 years of experience and over 6200 cosmetic procedures performed I brought my experience and skills to the clinic.
I have been married for over 30 years and live in Renton. I have two adult children and two grandchildren whom I love to spend time with. People who know me describe me as detail oriented and a thinker.
I obtained an Undergraduate degree from the University of Washington.
I completed an Internship at Children's Orthopedic Hospital, and at Swedish Hospital and Medical Center, both in Seattle, WA.
I later completed a Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School, and Parkland Memorial Hospital, Dallas, TX.
I am Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS).
I completed General Surgery Residency at the University of Oregon.
I am a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery (ASPS), the Washington Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Pierce County Plastic Surgery Society.
